Geography
:
The Kingdom of Morocco is located in the northwest corner of the African continent. It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the east.
west, Mauritania to the south, and Algeria to the east. Its coastline, desert, and the Atlas Mountains define its most defining geographical configuration and climate.
This is Mediterranean in the north, in the northern area adjacent to the massif of
Rif (offshoot of the Atlas Mountains); oceanic to the west; subtropical in the area
south near the ocean; continental in the central area of the Anti-Atlas; mountainous,
in the Atlas Mountains; and desert in the Sahara region, both in the east and south of the country.
The main rivers of the country are: Draâ, Sebu, Muluya, Oum Errabia, Tensift, Suss
and Lukkus.
In the Atlantic region, due to its oceanic climate, rainfall is abundant. In the rest of the country, the climate is dry and rainfall is scarce.
In the continental zone, temperatures can reach very high levels in the months
in summer (it is relatively common to reach 50º in the shade in the
city of Marrakech). The temperatures are also very high at that time of year.
Daytime temperatures in the Sahara (southern provinces). On the coast, temperatures are moderate.
Since the Atlas reaches very high altitudes, even above 4000
meters, the temperatures there can be, especially in winter, very low,

Culture :
Morocco is a country of multiethnic groups with a rich culture and civilization. Throughout its history, it has received visitors from the east (Phoenicians, Jews, and Arabs), the south (inhabitants of sub-Saharan Africa), and the north (Romans and Vandals), all of whom have impacted Morocco's social structure. Different religions also coexist in the country, such as Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.
Each region has its own unique characteristics, contributing to the national culture. Morocco has made the protection of its diversity and the preservation of its cultural heritage one of its main priorities.
Some Traditions and customs:
- Tea is drunk at all hours and it is common to share the drink with guests and even strangers, it is a sign of hospitality.
- In greetings, it is common to ask about the health and well-being of all family members. Greetings are always made with the right hand.
- Don't be surprised to see men holding hands on the streets; this is a sign of friendship and is very common.
- The family is absolutely sacred in Morocco. Admiration and respect for the elderly is paramount.
