North – South Express: Chefchaouen and Desert:

DAY 1:
TANGIER – CHEFCHAOUEN
Arrival at the port/airport of Tangier. Welcome from the Nomadatours team. Then we will go to Tetouan. A Spanish-Moorish city full of charm, Tetouan offers a mixture of cultures without neglecting its role as guardian and showcase of the most beautiful traditions, such as its medina, the Kassba (walled city) or the important mellah (Jewish) neighborhood. After a good lunch, the day will be dedicated to the discovery of the local Andalusian and Arab culture. We will visit one of their cooperatives with the presentation of their work and products. From there we will move to the town of Oued Laou, a bucolic fishing village on the Mediterranean shores, where you can taste seafood and fresh fish. In the afternoon we will go to Chaouen where you can discover Chaouen. Chaouen is a town hidden between the peaks of the Rif mountain range, its clear and clean light, and its white and blue houses, make this city one of the most beautiful in Morocco. You can visit its Medina, with winding streets, its water sources and its hammams. You cannot miss a visit to one of the most important associations in the region; Chauen Rural and its Sustainable Tourism project.

DAY 2: : CHEFCHAOUEN-FES
Departure in the morning crossing the mountain villages of Jbala. After about 4 hours to Fez, one of the four so-called imperial cities along with Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat. In Morocco it is considered the religious and cultural center of the country. Its university, famous for the study of Arabic and the Muslim religion, makes it a point of passage for a large number of Moroccan students. We will take advantage of the afternoon to take a walk through this city and discover its palaces and enormous medina.

DAY 3: FES-ERFOUD-MERZOUGA
After breakfast we will head towards the desert passing through the cedar forest, the port of Midelt, the Errachidia reservoir, the magnificent panorama of the Ziz valley, the city of Eefoud (the gate of the desert). We will attend the sunset at the top of the Borg D'est that offers a wonderful landscape over the city of Erfoud. Then we will continue along the track at night to reach the Erg Chebbi Dunes where you will ride camels, we will go towards the dunes to watch the sunset and we will sleep in a wild oasis located two hours away, in the heart of the dunes. Accommodation in Jaima (dinner and breakfast included)
DAY 04: MERZOUGA-ERRACHIDIA-ZIZ VALLEY-CEDROS FOREST-MEKNES
We get up at 5 o'clock to climb the dunes to see the sun rise over the sea of dunes, then our camels take us to the hotel to have breakfast and shower. After breakfast we will take the road to Fes passing through the beautiful valley of Ziz, Errachidia, Midelt to the cedar forest where we will stop to visit the famous "Gouraud" cedar. We will continue our way through the Middle Atlas until we reach Meknes in the afternoon, the intellectual and historical capital of Morocco. Transfer to your riad. Riad in the medina with breakfast

DAY 5: MEKNES – VOLUBILIS- ASSILAH- TANGIER
Early in the morning, departure to the north. Visit of the Roman ruins of Volubilis and continue north. We stop in Assila, a very pretty coastal town and continue towards Tangier to arrive late in the afternoon around 7 or 8 pm. Transfer to the port to take the ferry and end of our services.
