A trip to remember
and repeat
..
Duration: 8 Days/7 Nights
DAY 1: CASABLANCA
You will be greeted upon arrival at Mohammad V Airport in Casablanca and escorted to your hotel. Our guide will provide a brief overview of your trip. We will spend the night with dinner in Casablanca.
DAY 2: CASABLANCA - MARRAKECH
Breakfast and departure for Marrakech, where you'll enjoy a guided tour that includes the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadien Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. You can explore the incredible medina and the fascinating Jamaa El Fna Square, with its lively shows and charming souks.
DAY 3: MARRAKECH - DADES GORGE
Departure from Marrakech in the morning for the Dades Gorges. Along the way, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka, and passing numerous Berber villages, the nomadic people who inhabit the area. We will continue through Ouarzazate, crossing the Valley of the Roses, to enter the Dades Gorges, where the "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs" begins. Overnight stay in Dades Valley and dinner at the hotel.
DAY 4: DADES GORGE - TODRA GORGE - MERZOUGA
After breakfast, we head to the Todra Gorge, where you can take a pleasant walk along the imposing canyon walls over 200 meters, to the desert exit through the palm forest of T afilalet. Upon arrival in the desert, we expect our dromedaries to go on a route of an hour and a half, wading through the sand dunes to the heart of the desert to contemplate the beautiful sunset. Enveloped by the Great Dune, and enjoying the music From drumming, dinner and Moroccan tea, you can see the immense sky of stars and sleep in tents
DAY 5: MERZOUGA - ZIZ VALLEY - AZROU FOREST - FEZ
After breakfast, we begin our day north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the largest in the world. You'll see thousands of palm trees along the 20-km road. This leads us to the Ziz Valley, where a river descends from the High Atlas and feeds the palm grove. We make a stop here, and from this viewpoint, you'll enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and the town of Aoufous. We make another stop in Midelt, right in the heart of the Atlas, where you'll have free time for lunch and a rest. In the afternoon, we continue our journey through cedar woods, where, if we're lucky, we'll see some monkeys. The next place we'll visit is the city of Ifrane, located on the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1,630 meters above sea level. Its wide avenues, perfectly clean urban development, gardens, green areas, and architecture make this city look like a Swiss town. Ifrane feels out of place in Morocco. That's why it's called the Moroccan Switzerland, and if that's not enough, it has a major ski resort, Michlifen. Around 6 p.m., we arrive in Fez and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 6: FEZ
After breakfast, we will begin our full-day tour of Fez, the oldest city of the Imperials, founded by Idris I (789) and his son Moulay Idris II (810). We will visit the medieval medina with its MEDERSAS (religious Islamic universities) Attarine and Bouanania, the Nejjarine fountain, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Karaouine Mosque. After our local lunch (optional) we will continue to Fez Jdid (new Fez) and return to our hotel. Overnight: Fez.
DAY 7: FEZ - MEKNES - VOLUBILIS - RABAT
Morning arrival in Meknes, with visits to its Medina, or old city, and Bab el Mansour, the monumental gateway and main entrance to this 17th-century city. Then, stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, Morocco's finest archaeological site with mosaics, temples, and a triumphal arch. En route, visit the village of Moulay Idriss, the saintly founder of Morocco's first Islamic kingdom. Afternoon arrival in Rabat followed by a short tour of Morocco's capital city. Sightseeing tour includes the Medina (old city), with its whitewashed stone buildings featuring large, dark-wood studded doors; the Hassan Tower, whose intricate stonework dominates the skyline; and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which houses the late king's onyx tomb. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 8: RABAT - CASABLANCA
At the agreed-upon time, you will be picked up from your accommodation and transferred to the airport. We will accompany you to check in your bags and show you to your boarding gate. This concludes our services and concludes your trip.
